2017 Trek FX 3

Whether you're cruising to work or play, Trek's FX 3 is a bicycle you'll love. Its Alpha-Gold aluminum frame is lightweight for easy pedaling and great handling, and the fast-rolling 700c wheels let you ride further and faster with less effort. The carbon fork teams up with IsoZone vibration-damping handlebars for exceptional comfort on longer rides. This slick machine gets you up and down the steepest hills with its 27-speed Shimano drivetrain and confidence-inspiring linear-pull brakes. And, you can ride where you want, knowing that a pair of puncture-resistant, multi-surface tires will keep you rolling smoothly and safely. Whether for fitness, for fun, or for everyday riding, the FX 3 is a great choice!

100 miles cold weather break in

    By Mark G

    About Me

    Comments:

I purchased this bike in Jan 2017.The bike is new standard to me and i have put 100 mile on it. I am waiting for the weather to warm up.The little bit that i was able to ride seemed like a dream. Im not into the Lance riders and want to just have fun.I read about the seat being uncomfortable, my take on it is that i will have to wait and see.I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it to someone that likes to ride for fun and distance.Thumbs up to Trek for making bikes fun to ride again.

      Comments:

I have a Trek 4300 and wanted something that I could use that was lighter and so I could ride longer distances. I started riding it 5 mi/day, then extended it to 10mi/day and about 15 mi/day over the weekends, in all about 75 - 90 mi/week on paved trails. I think the bike feels good overall, but the gears are terrible. I've taken it to have it adjusted and it did not improve one bit, I had to adapt to make it work. Good buy if you want to ride it for short/intermediate distances (10 - 40 miles), I did get a Selle Royal Respiro Soft Athletic saddle and that makes a huge difference.
